Dear Parents,

Hope everyone is doing great! Be happy! Be Strong! We will overcome.

This week, most students will continue get assignment from their teachers. Many parents had returned the assignment back to our teachers so that teachers can give feedback. School will evaluation students' work during this difficult time and will award those hard-working students. So keep up the good work.

Some students will start online course this week. Level 7, Level 8, and Level 9-10 will be starting Zoom class tomorrow. We are testing online teaching in some lower level classes too. This week, we have Traditional 1 class trying out the online teaching. We will evaluation the effects of online teaching from all aspects.

Currently, our plan is to continue our way of teaching and learning for now. If we get to restart school on May 9, then we have 3 weeks to wrap up the remaining study in time. If not, we will use the first 3 weeks of next academic year to help students to finish the current level and move on to the next level. If we have no school (including online school), we will give credits to parents to use for next year based on the number of weeks that students missed due to school closure.

The virus may disrupt our life, but should not disrupt students' learning of Chinese. If we work together, we will give students a fun and fruitful learning experience.

各位家長，

希望大家都平安健康，保持樂觀，堅韌，我們一起會渡過難關。

本週教學方式基本延續過去的方法。老師會給同學們佈置任務，希望家長督促同學們完成。很多老師反應，家長幫忙把很多作業返回給老師，這樣老師有機會給予反饋。非常感謝家長的配合。學校對在疫情期間努力學習的同學會有表彰（其實應該是家長和學生一起表彰）。所以，大家再接再厲。

本週起，高年級，七冊，八冊，九冊的學生將開始上网課，以確保完成本學年的學習任務。我們在一些低年級班級也開始試點，本週，繁體一冊班會嘗試网課。我們會評估网課的教學效果以決定是否進一步推廣。

學校的目前計劃如下，如果學校能夠在5月9日重新開課，將會用5/9, 5/16, 5/23 三次課的時間完成教材剩餘內容。如果本學期無法開課，將在下學年開學用最初的3-4週完成本學年的教學任務。所有因為學校停課而錯過的時間 （网課算授課），學校將給家長Credit，可以用于明年的學費。

疫情在不斷變化，我們的計劃也會隨之變化。疫情可能會擾亂我們的生活，但我們的中文教學應該有條不紊地繼續。如果家長，同學，老師一起努力，相信會給同學們一段有收穫，很難忘的中文學習時光。
