DBCS Reminder of Week 2/9/2019

Dear Parents,

Happy Chinese New Year!

This Sat, 2/9, DBCS will have Chinese class for an hour from 9:00-10:00am. Then, we will have the Diamond Bar Chinese New Year Celebration Event. Parents, please pick up your kids at 10:00am from their Chinese language classroom and participate in our event.

Several classes will perform at the event as groups. They will follow their teacher and TAs to wait for their performance near the stage (DBHS Quad). Their performances should be over by 11:15am. Parents can then pick them up after their performances and join the event. Classes that will perform are: K1, K2, S1 (Ms. Wang's class).  All other students must be picked up at the classroom at 10:00am. Students not picked up by 10:00am will wait for their parents in Room 577.

This year, we will give awards to many outstanding students in Chinese handwriting and writing at the event. The award ceremony will be at about 11:30am. The students receiving awards is listed below and is posted on our website. Please make sure to attend the ceremony. Thanks to the generous donations by Allen Ku and Ivy Lin, we have prizes for students that have won the awards.

Please bring family and friends to attend the Diamond Bar Chinese New Year Celebration Event at DBHS this Sat, 2/9.

各位家長，

祝大家新春快樂，吉祥如意！

本週六，中文學校9：00-10：00上中文課。之後是新春圓遊會，請家長在10：00到中文課教室接自己的孩子，然後一起參加活動。

一些班級會在圓遊會上表演，他們將在表演之前同老師一起等候自己的表演時刻。他們的表演應該在11：15之前結束。請這些班學生的家長在表演結束後，在後臺接回自己的孩子。三個班級包括K1,K2， 簡體一冊（王老師班）。

依照慣例，園遊會上將頒發今年的第一批獎學金，獲獎同學包括硬筆書法比賽各班第一名，中文寫作和書法的優秀學生。名單如下，請獲獎同學務必在11：15在後臺集合，然後參加頒獎儀式（大約11：30）。獎學金是Allen Ku和 Ivy Lin夫婦捐贈的獎學金的一部分，謝謝他們的慷慨捐助。
