DBCS Reminder of Week 1/27/2018
Dear Parents,
This Sat, DBCS will have regular school from 9:00-12:30pm.
On Feb 17th, DBCS will host the Annual Diamond Bar Chinese New Year Celebration Event. Please see attached flyer. If you'd like to sponsor, volunteer, or in any other ways to support or participate in this event, please contact us. Thank you very much!
Parents, at DBCS, safety and welfare of our students are always the top priority for us educators. We can always do better to provide every kids a safe and kind learning environment. This Sat, at 9:15am in the computer room, we will have a parent meeting on safety issue. Please come. Here are some new/additional measures we are taking to address the issue:
1. All K level classes will have different recess time from all other level of classes. K2/K3 will have recess before regular recess time. K1/K4 will have recess right after regular recess time. Teachers and TAs will accompany these K level students during their separate recess. Their activity areas will be limited to the quad and the the flat area beside the gym.
2. There will be two teachers assigned every week to supervise the recess during general recess time.
3. There will be at least 2 TAs assigned every week to assist in supervising the recess.
4. There will be at least 2 parent volunteers every week to assist in supervising the recess. Details will be discussed at the parent meeting this Sat in the computer lab.
Please check our website for Chinese related scholarships, summer camps, and other activities. Some of the activities requires registration through school.

本週六，中文學校正常上課。
2月17日，是鑽石吧華人新春園遊會，希望同學、家長、親朋好友都來參加。如果您願意贊助這個活動或者做義工，也請和我們聯繫。非常感謝！
鑽石吧中文學校一向將學生的安全和福祉作為教育的重中之重。我們相信只要努力，在這方面的工作就可以進一步提高。本週六，請家長們一起開個會，一起來談談目前的安全措施，以及如何更好地做好這方面工作。目前，學校將採取以下措施
1、所有K班課間休息時間同其他年級課間休息錯開。K2/K3在前，K1/K4在后，休息時間由老師帶領到草地和體育館外平地休息。
2. 每個課間將有至少兩位老師督導
3. 每個課間至少兩位TA輔助
4. 每個課間至少兩位義工家長輔助。具體實施辦法將在週六會議上討論決定。
我們將會把一些同學術比賽，大陸和台灣面向海外華人子弟的夏令營的信息放在學校網站上，請有興趣的家長予以關注。
