DBCS Reminder of Week 9/8/2018

Dear Parents,

This Sat, 9/8, Chinese school will have regular classes from 9:00am-12:30pm.

From this week, Level 1 simplified will be divided into two classes. This Sat, all Level 1 simplified students should report to room 577 and some will be led to Room 562 by their teacher.

For elective classes, we have two changes. First, unfortunately, our choir class teacher can no longer teach this class and good replacement is hard to find at the moment. So we will cancel the choir class for now. Students can get into one of other elective classes. Once the selection is made, parents please notify the office about the change.

Second, good news, we have invited a very experienced Paper Sculpture teacher, who has taught at several other Chinese schools and institutions. Students of age 8 or above can choose this class. Registration for this class starts this week, if you kids are interested in taking this class, please go the office and put down the student's name. Once we have enough students registered for this class, we will notify parents in our weekly communication and then start the class.

This Sat, the Parent Association has organized the 2nd part of the college prep seminar. Time: 9:15-11:15am, location, Room 565. Flyer is attached and can also be found on our website. We welcome parents and friends to come.

本週六，中文學校正常上課。

本週起，簡體一冊分為兩個班，請所有簡體一冊的同學先到577教室集合，分班后，部分由老師帶領去562教室，部分留在577教室。

才藝班有些變動，首先，非常遺憾，合唱團的老師今後不能來我們學校授課了，替換老師很難，所以目前決定這門才藝課今年取消。目前合唱團的同學請選擇任一其他才藝課。選擇完成后，請家長到辦公室告知我們，我們好更改記錄信息。

其次，我們很高興宣佈學校可以請到一位非常有經驗的老師來教紙雕才藝，這位老師在多個其他中文學校和機構開設過這樣的才藝課，深受好評。如果您的孩子對選這門課有興趣，請週六到辦公室登記，如果有足夠的人有興趣選擇紙雕才藝課，我們會在每週和家長的聯絡中通知家長，然後開課。本週只報名，不開始上課。

週六，家長會舉辦的升學講座的第二部分開始，由Flex的老師做講座。時間為早9：15-11：15， 地點為565教室。歡迎家長和朋友們參加。
