DBCS Reminder of Week 10/08

Dear Parents,

This Sat, DBCS will have regular classes from 9:00-12:30pm.

Most classes will have the mid-term exam this week. Please remind our students to review and prepare for the test.

Next Sat, Diamond Bar High School will need all classrooms for their PSAT test. So DBCS will NOT have classes next Sat, 10/15. Please mark your calendar.

There are two Chinese related competition coming up. The first is the SCCCS' Annual Fall Academic Competition. This is the competition that best students from every Chinese schools in the SoCal region compete. In the Fall, the Academic Competition focuses on writing, such as Chinese Handwriting, Calligraphy, Translation, Chinese Poster Design, Writing. The deadline for registration is Oct 23rd. Since we will not have classes on Oct. 15th, please register this Sat. Details for this competition can be found http://scccs.net/events/event41/Fall/FallMain.htm.

本週六,中文學校正常上課. 下週六, 10月15日, 由於高中需要使用所有的教室, 中文學校沒有課,請大家做好安排。

最近有兩個同中文有關的比賽，學校鼓勵同學們積極參加。

一個是南加州中文學校聯合會年度的秋季學術比賽。這一賽事是南加州各中文學校的優秀學生參加的，比賽地點是Acadia High， 比賽時間是11月6日。秋季比賽內容以寫為主，包括硬筆書法，毛筆書法，作文，翻譯， 中文海報等。參與中文學校聯合會的比賽對於今後申請聯合會獎學金非常重要，學校鼓勵大家踴躍參加。詳情請參考以下鏈接：http://scccs.net/events/event41/Fall/FallMain.htm.
