DBCS Reminder of Week 2/23

Dear Parents,
This Saturday, 2/23, DBCS will have classes between 9:00-10:15am. Afterwards, parents and students are encouraged to stay for the Diamond Bar New Year Celebration. All kids must be picked up. During the celebration event, there will be a large crowd. For the safety of our students, we ask parents to come to the classrooms to pick up their kids for all classes below level 5. Young students cannot walk to the parking lot by themselves.   At the celebration, there will be performances, some by our very own students. There will be more than 10 carnival games and teachers will be there to ensure kids can have fun safely.  Booths by businesses and institutions will provide you with useful information. Many fine gifts will be given by lottery. Be sure to stay around and there is a very good chance your lottery number is going to be called!
There will be about 15 students will be awarded at the celebration for their art, calligraphy and writing. Our exhibition will be at the hallway of the D-building. Please be sure to stop by and see the talents and dedication of our students. We also want to invite all to attend their award ceremony, which will be held about 10:45-11:00am. It is very likely that our Mayor, Ling-ling Chang, will present award certificates to these wonderful winners of our exhibition. Parents please check email and website for names of these winners later. We expect to post the results by Friday. If your child’s name is on the list, please do not leave before the award ceremony.

本週六，學校上兩節課，大約10：15左右，家長可以來接孩子，參加新春園遊會。園遊會期間，校園里人很多，五冊以下的班級的學生必須由家長親自到教室去接，年齡較小的孩子不能直接去學校門口等家長來接。園遊會有很精彩的節目，有請來，有我們自己的同學。有歌曲，器樂，功夫等等。老師們為同學們帶來了10個遊戲，他們會幫助確保同學們玩得好，又安全。園遊會還有很多本地商家和機構的攤位，為您提供有用的信息。您還可以參加抽獎，有很多精美禮物.
園遊會上，中文學校有大約15名同學在書畫和習作展中獲得優勝。書畫展將安排在D座的走廊，請您一定瀏覽，欣賞同學們的才藝和中文習作。我們邀請大家一起參加給這些同學的頒獎典禮。我們將邀請鑽石吧市長及其他特邀嘉賓給這些同學頒獎。因為評奬尚未完全結束，名單將在週五公佈。請家長注意查看學校網站。如果您的孩子獲獎，請千萬別提前離開。頒獎典禮大約10：45－11：00左右。
