DBCS 5/23 Honor's Day Ceremony and Performance Reminder

Dear Parents,

Diamond Bar Chinese School 2015 Honor’s Day Performance and Award Ceremony will be held on 5/23, this Saturday, at DBHS Theater (the building on your right before you enter the D-building for regular classes) . All students are required to attend. We invite you, your families and friends to attend this ceremony and congratulate our students for their efforts and achievements.

Please arrive at the theater before 8:45am so you have time to be seated. Ceremony starts at 9:00am, sharp. The whole performance and award ceremony is expected to last two and half hours. If you will not stay during the ceremony, please be sure to pick up your kids at 11:30am.

Seating: students sit together with their classmates in the wing areas of the theater. Parents will be seated separately in the central area of the theater. After helping your child get to his/her class, please be seated. At the entrance, Our TAs will guide you and on the seat, there will be signs.

Registration: DBCS will have tables set up near the entrance and we will be there to help answer your questions about registration and process your registration. If you have not done registration, please take this wonderful opportunity to take advantage the early registration discount of $50.  To save time, you can download the form from www.dbcaa.org, fill it at home.

Photographing: Students will go on stage to receive their trophies (for outstanding students and perfect attendance) and certificates together with his/her class. There is designated area for you to take picture in front of the stage. Please proceed in orderly fashion.

Party: after the performance and ceremony, let’s celebrate the end of year together. All students, teachers, parents, and TAs, are welcomed. Pizza and refreshment will be provided. The location of the party is the DBHS lunch area downstairs.

Suggestions: please let us know what you think DBCS should improve in the future. We have plans to address many areas but we’d like to hear from our parents to set our priorities.   Your opinions are important to us when we do summer “strategic” planning for next year. At the registration table, we will also have some flyers regarding our school and several elective classes. Some elective classes’ teachers will be available to answer questions from interested parents.

We are all very proud of our children’s efforts and achievements at Diamond Bar Chinese School. This year’s honor’s day event has many high-quality performances by our own students and TAs. I am sure the performances will surprise many. Let us get together and have an unforgettable Honor’s Day Event.
