DBCS Remider of Week 5/6 & Invitation to DBCAA Annual Gala 5/20
Dear Parents,
This Sat, 5/6, the Chinese school will have regular classes from 9:00am-12:30pm.
Registration for the summer program and 2023-2024 academic year has started. Current students or students who register before the end of this academic year (5/20) will enjoy an early registration discount of $50. So, please register in the office. We need the registration information to arrange next year's classes, assign classrooms, hire teachers, and purchase textbooks.
We have a tuition reduction program funded by our generous donors to help those families in need. Please contact the school if you need financial help.
As the academic year approaches the end, we are in the process of giving awards for excellent teachers and students. Categories can be found on our website. We welcome parents to share your opinions about your child’s teacher with us. Regarding our excellent students, our teachers have already begun to nominate excellent students in their classes. They will mostly base their nomination on classroom performance and academic achievement. If parents think your kids deserve special recognition for his/her Chinese learning experience, you can also let us know.
As we look for ways to improve our program, we want your input for ideas and suggestions. We want more talented and motivated teachers to join us. Please refer anyone interested in teaching Chinese or any elective classes to us. In particular, we want to find teachers in music, arts, math, and Chinese Yo-yo. Thank you very much!
On 5/20, Diamond Bar Chinese American Association will have an Annual Meeting and Fundraising Gala at the Pacific Palms Resort. As a non-profit organization, the Chinese school depends on various donations to award hard working students and devoted teachers, as well as fund many of our popular classes. This Gala will have many leaders in our local community participating. It is a wonderful opportunity to expand your connections and make friends. At the Gala, we will present awards for this year’s scholarship winners and excellence in teaching winners. The flyer is attached to this message. If you are interested, please contact us ASAP so we can reserve a seat or table for you. It is also possible to put your ad in our annual journal.
For Level 2 class parents, please go to classroom 307 at 9:00am on 5/6 for a meeting with the principal.
For students who took the AP Mock Test in March, you should have received a score report in your registered email. We will have a discussion session from 9:30am on 5/6. Interested parents are welcome to join.
For students who registered for the SCCCS Spring Academic Contest, the time and location information have been sent to you by email. Please make sure to check your email.
For the "Advanced Art" class, we will continue our class until the last day of elective classes for this semester (5/13). Please go to Room 310 to take the class. If you have already purchased the art material, please bring them with you.
Thank you very much! |
