DBCS Reminder of Week 11/17

Dear Parents,

Happy Thanksgiving!

This Saturday, 11/17, DBCS will have the last class before this year's holiday season. We will have classes on 11/17, and 12/1, 12/8, and 12/15 for the rest of the year. Class resumes on January 12, 2013.

From this week, our DBCS Parent Association will organize several events and activities. The first is this Sat's seminar on getting the best use of consumer IT products, such as smart phones and tablet PCs, etc. The fly is attached. Time is 9:30-11:30. Location is Room 254. Come and if you are lucky, you may get one of useful accessories as the prizes for participants.

At DBCS, we want elective classes fun and helpful for our kids. We are always looking for possible new classes. Usually, if we can find a teacher and we have enough number of students interested in the class, we would setup the class. We hope parents can give us your ideas and suggestions. Meanwhile, we know many would love to have a dance class but we have a hard time find a teacher. We are also looking for ways to get parents active and involved. There will be hiking trips that many parents might find interesting. Perhaps a dance class for the parents too. Together, we make our experiences at DBCS better.

本週六，11/17日，中文學校正常上課。下周感恩節放假。12月份，1、8、15日照常上課。新學期將於2013年1月12日開始。

本週起，家長會將開始組織一系列活動。第一個是本週的智能資訊產品使用技巧的互動講座。附件為這次活動的詳細信息（網頁上家長會部分也有）。時間為9:30-11:30am, 地點為254教室。歡迎家長及親朋好友參加。家長會有精美禮品抽獎贈送與會者。

中文學校一直希望才藝課同學們能開心，能有幫助。我們的一些原來設想的課程由於人數不夠，沒有開出。一些戶外的課程由於學校建設等原因，必須減少人數和限制年齡。我們希望能開出更多的才藝課。一個課是否開，需要有老師，還要有足夠的學生。我們希望家長能給我們提建議，一起幫我們把才藝課做的更好。目前，很多家長都表示，希望有一個小朋友們能參加的舞蹈課，中國傳統舞蹈或者現代勁舞都可以。我們一直在物色老師，現在沒有合適的人選。
