DBCS Reminder of Week 4/13

The Spring Break is over and DBCS will resume regular classes this Sat, 4/13.

For students who registered for Spring Competition, we will have training sessions for them during the elective class hour in Room 256. They are not required to attend. We understand many may be needed in their elective classes. From this week to the Sat before the competition on 5/5, we will have 4 sessions. During these training sessions, teachers will help students to prepare for the competition. We will also ask classroom teachers to give participants opportunities to practice in front of class audience. For participants of speech competition, parents should help them to prepare their speech draft.

We will start planning for next year's classes.We want parents' input about elective classes. Due to the facility limitation and low participation, we may not continue our tennis class and "Sing and Play" class for our very young students. We welcome ideas and suggestions regarding elective classes. We want to improve the quality of our elective classes and really give our students opportunities to explore and enrich their talents.

We are also planning this year's Honor's Day ceremony and performance on May 25. We need parents' input for planning, auditioning, and organizing. We will have a short meeting this Sat from 9:00am on the subject in the room next to Room 256.

春假結束，中文學校本週六恢復正常上課。

參加中文學校聯合會春季學術比賽的同學，在才藝課時間，學校安排了有經驗的老師輔導他們的朗誦、背誦和演講。地點為256教室。參賽的同學不是必須參加，有的同學的才藝課也需要他們。這樣的特別輔導課將從本週起一直持續到5月4日。同學們可以自己選擇時間參加。除了這些特別的輔導課外，我們也讓各班級的老師在班上給參賽同學以練習的時間和機會。參加演講的同學，家長請幫助他們起草演講稿。

學校開始安排明年的課程，特別是才藝課的設置。我們希望得到家長們的意見和建議。由於場地和人數原因，網球課和小朋友的唱游課很可能取消。我們希望能提供高質量的才藝課，讓同學們有機會去發掘和培養自己的才藝。

學校也開始進行5月25日結業式表演的籌備。我們需要一些家長參與幫助籌划和組織。週六9：00在256教室旁的休息室有個簡短的準備會議，請有興趣的家長一起來出參加。
