DBCS Week 3/8/2014 Reminder

Dear Parents,

This Sat, 3/8, Chinese school will have regular classes, from 9:00-12:30pm.

For those who registered for Mock Chinese SAT test, please go to Room 568 at 9:45am. We will start testing from 10:00am.

For students who registered for Spring Academic Competition (Poem Recital, Classics Recital, and Speech), please go to Room 559 during the elective class time (11:35-12:30pm). We will start out training session from this week. Before April 13th, we will only have three training sessions this year, as the competition date moved early. Make sure every participant at least attend one training sessions. For students who registered for classics recital and speech, please get ready.

As parents start to plan the summer for kids, please check our website for information on summer camps or trips to Mainland China and Taiwan. These camps are run by experienced organizations and will give participants a great experience with Chinese culture and language. If interested, please let us know ASAP. Some camps require group participation. DBCS has to organize enough participants to go.

本週六，中文學校正常上課。

參加SAT中文模擬考試的同學請在3月8日9：45到Room 568. 考試將於10：00開始。

報名參加南加州中文學校聯合會春季學術比賽的同學（包括詩歌朗誦，經典背誦，演講），請在11：35分，才藝的時間到Room559. 學校安排的專門訓練課程本週開始。由於今年比賽日期提前，我們僅有3次訓練課。我們鼓勵所有的參賽同學都來參加這個訓練課。報名參加背誦和演講比賽的同學，請熟記背誦資料和準備好演講稿（當然是父母幫忙）。尚未報名的同學請本週務必報名，本週后，報名截止。參賽所用的資料，請家長自己到網站根據孩子的年齡組、繁簡（注音、拼音）以及參賽項目，確定自己孩子所需要準備的資料。由於版本太多，學校不便為參賽學生一一準備。

不少家長已經開始安排孩子的暑假活動。請到學校的網站查看相關的去大陸或者台灣以中華文化和語言為主題的夏令營相關信息。這些夏令營都是專門為海外華人的子女安排的，參加的同學們會有機會看看台灣或者大陸，提高中文水平。有的夏令營的相當部分費用由贊助機構支付，機會難得。有興趣的家長請盡快和我們聯繫。一些夏令營需要集體報名，鑽石吧中文學校需要組織一定數量的學生才可以參加。
