DBCS Reminder of Week 01/07/2017

Dear Parents,

Happy New Year! Welcome back to the new semester! This Sat, 1/7/2017, Chinese school will have regular classes from 9:00-12:30pm. Please arrive at school on time.

There are two changes of elective classes:
1. Flute/Recorder class is cancelled.

2. A new elective class is added, "Chinese is Fun", the class will combine singing, games, and other fun elements with Chinese poems and classics. The class is intended for lower level students. The classroom is 566. The K-2 teacher, Ms. Sarah will teach this class.

Due to the availability of the DBHS facility on Jan 28th,  the date for the annual Diamond Bar Chinese New Year Celebration event is moved to Feb 4. Please mark your calendar for this exciting event. If students or parents want to perform at this event, please let us know ASAP as we are finalizing the program.

新年快樂，新的學期自本週六起開始了。中文學校正常上課，請安排好時間，準時接送。

本學期才藝課方面有以下調整：
1. 直笛課取消

2. 開設一門新的才藝課。 “說說唱唱學中文”。 主要教學內容: 兒歌、唐詩； 教學方法: 將唱歌、朗誦 、遊戲 、畫畫的方式融入教學中； 教學目標: 小朋友能夠唱中文兒歌和能夠將唐詩朗朗上口，提高他們對中文的興趣。這個班適合低年級的同學選修。由K-2葉老師教授，教室為566。歡迎同學們選修這門課。

由於高中1月28日有其他大型活動，原計劃28日舉辦的新春園遊會推遲至2月4日舉辦，歡迎大家積極參與。有學生或者家長有意參與園遊會表演的，請盡快到辦公室登記。
