DBCS Reminder of Week 3/17/2018
Dear Parents,
This Sat, 3/17, Chinese school will have regular classes. Our Spring Break is 3/31 and 4/7. Please plan accordingly.
Southern California Chinese School Association's Spring Academic Contest will be held on May 6, at Acadia High. Every Spring Contest, there are three categories: poem recital, classics recital and speech. It is a great opportunity for our students to get more involved in their Chinese study. If your kids are interested in attending any of these categories, please come to office to register. We will start our special training sessions from next week. Attached is the registration info.
Last week's seminar on college scholarship was a great success. We will have another great seminar on college prep and financial aid application will be held on 4/14, about a month from now. The seminar will be given by two experienced teachers at the Flex College Prep. So, mark your calendar. Parents, friends and families, students are all welcome. Attached is the flyer for this event.
Our newest elective class, Choir class is going well. It is still open. If you are interested, you can register at the office.

南加州中文學校聯合會的春季學術比賽將在5月6日在Acadia High舉行。按照慣例，春季學術比賽將包括詩歌朗誦，經典背誦，演講三個項目。比賽按照年齡分組。參加這樣的比賽通常對於激發學生對學習中文的興趣很有幫助。請有意參加的同學家長本週六到辦公室報名。下週開始，我們將在才藝課時間給將參加比賽的同學進行專門訓練和輔導。有關比賽信息見附件。
上週六的講座受到很多家長的歡迎。我們將有另外一個關於申請大學和獎學金的講座安排在4月14日。附件是該活動的廣告。這個講座我們請到本地的Flex College Prep的富有經驗的老師，歡迎有興趣的家長，同學，親人和朋友前來參加。
我們學校最新的才藝課，合唱班目前仍然可以接受新學生，有意參加的同學家長請到辦公室登記。
