Happy Halloween!  Hope everyone have great fun today!

This Sat, 11/2, Chinese school will have regular classes.

Several reminders for this week:

1. American Plus Bank's annual drawing contest is calling for entries. The flyer will be available on our website, www.dbcaa.org. This contest is organized according to age groups. At DBCS, we have many talented young artists, it is a good opportunity.

2. Next Tuesday, 11/5, is an election day. Important local elections include Walnut Valley School District Board and City Council. We encourage our parents, families and friends to vote. Our votes ensures the our interests in the community and public schools.

3. Our Beijing Opera elective class is still calling for enrollment. This class is open to all students, parents, families and other community members. We have some already enrolled but we need more. Please consider this class. The teachers will teach and train not only voice, but moves too. That should be very exciting.

4. Next Sat, 11/9, the DBCS Parent Association invites local art training school to discuss discover, develop art talents and build impressive portfolio for college admission. We will send out detailed information next week.

5. Mark your calendar, Diamond Bar Chinese American Association will host a New Year Party on Dec 29th at the Diamond Bar Center. DBCAA hopes this event can bring the community together and add great fun to everyone's holiday season. Details will be released soon.

本週六， 11/2，中文學校照常上課。

以下幾件事情提醒大家：

1. 美富銀行（American Plus Bank)  年度青少年繪畫比賽開始報名。詳情請參考學校網站的有關信息。這個比賽按照年齡分組，有獎金。中文學校不少小藝術家，希望參加。

2. 下週二，11/5，是選舉日。今年雖然沒有聯邦和州的重要選舉，本社區和學區的選舉和我們大家都息息相關。我們鼓勵家長，親人和朋友都能積極參加選舉。大家的選票將對於保證社區和學區的優秀品質至關重要。

3. 計劃開設的“京劇藝術”才藝課歡迎大家報名。所有的學生，家長，親朋好友都歡迎參加。學校和老師商量，京劇的“文武”都會教。不僅唱，還有演，練。我們目前人數不夠，希望大家積極報名。

4. 下週六，11/9日，家長會邀請了藝術學校的校長來我校談談學生藝術天賦的發現、培養以及如何為報考大學準備作品集。時間為11：30-12：30pm. 詳情下周公佈。

5. 今年，鑽石吧華協將在鑽石吧中心舉辦華人歲末迎新舞會。時間為12月29日。希望大家一起來參加。相信能為大家的節日增添歡樂。詳情將盡快公佈。
