Dear Parents,

This Sat, 11/9, Chinese school will have regular classes from 9:00am-12:30pm.

This Sat, Chinese school co-organized a seminar on Social Media Safety and Cyber Bullying, given by LA County Sheriff's Deputy Luis Denver. The topic is very important for both parents and students. The speaker is experienced expert in this area. We hope this will give our parents and students great opportunity to learn issues about social media safety and cyber bullying. The location is the Diamond Bar High School Theater, time:9:30-11:00am. Parents are encouraged to go and friends are welcomed too. Unfortunately, as the time overlaps with our regular Chinese classes, most students can not go to this seminar. Only 3 upper level classes may go.

Parents, in case you ask others to send kids to Chinese school and pick them up, please do remember to let them know both the location of Chinese class and the location of the elective class (for pick up).　Also, please remind your kids to go to office and wait for picking up in case parents are late.

週六中文學校和其他幾個社區華人社團一起組織了一個關於“社交媒體安全和網絡霸淩”的講座，主講人是洛縣警官Luis Denver，他是洛縣警察局相關領域的專家。這是一個對我們的學生和家長都非常重要的話題。許多家長由於文化和法律背景不同，對於這個問題在美國的狀況不很瞭解。我們希望這個講座能夠從法律，教育等多種角度幫助您瞭解這個問題。講座的地點是鑽石吧高中的劇場，時間是9：30-11：00. 歡迎家長、學生和其他關心這個問題的朋友參加。由於時間同我們的上課時間重疊，我們經過和老師和學生的商量，只有最高三個年級的同學可以在老師的帶領下，集體參加這個講座。

家長們有時候需要請別人來接送小孩。請在做出安排時，特別囑咐負責接送的人不僅要知道送到哪個教室學中文，而且要知道到哪裡接孩子下才藝課。請告訴您的孩子，如果沒有人及時來接，不要自己出校門去等，而應該去辦公室等。
