Dear Parents,

This Sat, DBCS will have regular classes from 9:00am-12:30pm.

Last week's Halloween parade was a great success. Thank you very much for all parents that helped organizing the event. The classes with the best costumes are: S1-1, S2-1, K2, and S3-1. These classes will get a pizza party this Saturday at 11:00am!

The DBCS Handwriting Contest results will be posted on our website by Friday.

For students who registered for SCCCS Fall Academic Contests, please visit https://scccs.net/events/event44/Fall/FallMain.htm for detailed information about the location and contents of each category. Attached is a list of students and time for their competition. On Sunday, please arrive at least 30 mins prior to your assigned time, find our school banner, and get the badge for entrance. If you have any questions, please call 714-837-0528.  

Parents, our seminar series are back! On Nov. 2, this Sat, there will be a a seminar for moms on health and skin care. please see attached flyer. Time is 9:00-10:30am. Room: 405 (downstairs).

Next Sat, 11/9, we have co-sponsored a seminar on Social Media and Cyber-bullying: Safety and Awareness,  by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy, Luis Denver. This is a very important issue discussed by experienced experts. It will benefit both parents and students. Time, 9:30-11:30am, 11/9, Sat, and the location is the DB High School Theater. Please mark your calendar for these seminars. Also, invite friends and students to join too. The knowledge will benefit all of us. Please see attached flyers.

本週六中文學校正常上課。

上週六的萬聖節遊行非常成功，感謝家長的組織和配合。根據家長評委的評議結果，有以下班級獲得獎勵：簡體1冊1班，簡體2冊1班，K2， 簡體三冊1班。本週六，這些班級將有一個Pizza Party。

上週六的硬筆書法比賽結果將在週五之前在學校網站公佈。

報名參加南加州中文學校聯合會秋季學術比賽的同學請到 賽事的網頁https://scccs.net/events/event44/Fall/FallMain.htm，上面可以看到比賽的具體內容和地點等。附件有我校參賽學生的參賽時間和參賽教室。請在參賽時間之前30分鐘到達比賽場地，找到我們學校的老師，領取參賽所用名牌，然後前往考場。如果您有問題，請致電7148370528。

家長會組織的講座開始啦！本週六，11月2日，家長會組織了一個美容与皮膚保健的講座，需要和家長會負責人報名參加。時間是9：00-10：30， 地點是405教室。

下週六，11月9日，鑽石吧華人協會和其他一些社區華人社團一起組織了一個”社交媒體和霸淩:安全与自我保護意識“的講座，我們請到了富有經驗的Luis Denver警官來給學生和家長做主題講座。時間是11月9日9：30-11：00am, 地點在高中禮堂。這次講座對外開放，您可以把消息轉給親人和朋友，請更多的家長和學生能夠來參加，關注這個孩子成長過程中常常遇到的問題。
