Welcome back to Chinese school! Our first day of school will be this Sat, 8/19. School starts at 9:00am.

If you have yet to register, you can do so on the first day of school. Our registration booth at the Diamond Bar High School front gate will be open at 8:40am. Please come and register. Once registration done, students can go to their classes directly and parents can pick up textbooks for them at the office.

On the first day, we will have all elective classes. Please make sure both you and your kids know which elective classes they are supposed to go. First time of finding their classroom for elective class can be confusing. As long as the student knows which class he/she is suppose to go, we will have teachers and assistants ready to help them. Parents also needs to know which class your kids sign up for so you can go to the classroom to pick up.

We are in the process of finalizing the school calendar and classroom assignment with Diamond Bar High School and we expect to get this done by Wed.(8/16). We will send the calendar and classroom map to all parents and also post them on our website: www.dbcaa.org.

Please note, based on our registration, we have made several changes regarding our elective classes. Paper Artwork class will be cancelled due to lack of interests. We add a new exciting course, Chinese Classics. Course descriptions for all elective classes will be updated and posted online by Wed. at www.dbcaa.org.

Since many of our last year's students have yet to register, we used last year's parents email info to send out information regarding the 2017-18 year. We will only send out such message in the first two weeks of school and then we will only send messages to parents of 2017-18 year students.

各位家長，

鑽石吧中文學校歡迎大家回來！開學日是本週六，8月19日， 開始上課的時間是早上9：00.

如果您還沒有註冊，請在開學日早上到校註冊。我們負責註冊的義工會在高中大門口幫助您完成註冊程序。註冊之後，您可以把孩子送去應該去的教室，家長可以幫助孩子到辦公室領取課本。

開學日當天我們的所有才藝課都會開始上課。請家長務必和孩子説清楚他們應該去的才藝班。中文課下課后，老師和義工會幫助引導學生找到他們的才藝班教室，但學生自己必須知道自己應該去的才藝班。我們的註冊表上有些家長沒有註明才藝班的選擇，有的想更換選擇，所以，希望您告訴孩子他們應該去的才藝班，我們會幫助他們找到教室。家長也需要知道孩子才藝班的教室，以便去接孩子。

由於高中還在協調給我們使用的教室，我們的行事曆和教室安排還沒有最后確定。這些重要信息將在週三（8/16）前確定並發送給家長和在學校網頁上發佈，請屆時注意查看。

根據目前的註冊情況，我們的一些才藝課由於人數太少，不得不取消，目前有紙藝課。我們今年增加了一個非常有意思的“國學經典”課，由受過國學教育專門培訓，並有經驗的老師任教，歡迎小朋友選這門課！週三前我們也會把最新的才藝課介紹在網頁上更新，請大家注意查看。

由於相當一部分去年就學的同學尚未報名，為確保信息交流通暢，我們在開學前兩週的給家長的訊息中會包括所有去年在校的學生家長，兩週后，我們會僅僅發佈信息給今年註冊就學的同學家長。請大家理解。
