DBCS Reminder of Week 3/12
Dear Parents,
This Sat, 3/12, DBCS will have regular classes from 9:00-12:30pm.
Most classes will have the mid-term exam, please remind students to review and prepare.
Mock Chinese SAT will be held on this Sat, in Room 568, at 9:30am. All registered students must arrive on time. All test paper and material will be collected after the test and send back to the organizer for grading. If absent, there will be no refund or materials to take home.
Last week, our Poem Recital Contest was a great success. Outstanding students will be listed on our website and award will be given in class this Sat. SCCCS, the regional Chinese School association will have Spring Academic Contest in May. There will be three categories, Poem Recital, Classics Recital, and Speech. Attached is the information regarding this contest. Winners of this contest will not only earn award certificate but also prize. Interested parents can start to register from this week at the office. We strongly encourage the winners of our contests can take this challenge. We will start a training program to help all participants to prepare for the contest in May after our Spring Break.
It is the tax season. Parents can go to our office to obtain our tax ID.
As the summer approaches, we will post many information of programs that may interest our students. Please check our website often.

本週六，中文學校正常上課。
大多數班級將在本週六進行期中考試，請提醒和幫助同學們複習。
模擬SAT中文考試將在568教室進行，時間是9：30. 請已經註冊的同學按時到達考場，請帶鉛筆和橡皮。所有考試資料，包括考卷和答題紙等，都將在考試后寄回組織者。如果缺席考試，將無法得到退款或者考試相關資料。
上週六，學校的詩歌朗誦比賽非常成功。繁體一冊，簡體二冊，四冊三個班級表現尤其優秀。個人獲獎名單隨後將在網站公佈，獎狀將在本週六班級里頒發。南加州中文學校聯合會春季學術比賽將在5月舉行，項目包括詩歌朗誦，經典背誦，和演講。我們非常鼓勵中文學校的學生參加這個比賽，除獎狀外，比賽的優勝者還將得到獎金。由於參賽人數有限，我們將參考本校比賽成績，學生年齡等確定參選學生及項目。請有意參加的學生家長本週六到辦公室報名。為鼓勵同學們參與，學校將承擔一半的報名費用。學校還將在春假之後，開設專門輔導班，幫助參賽學生準備比賽。希望大家踴躍報名！
