Dear Parents,
This Sat, is our Annual Diamond Bar Chinese New Year Celebration!
We will have regular Chinese classes at the 300 building from 9:00-10:00am. Please pick up your kids at 10:00am from their Chinese classes (the same classroom you send them to). A few classes will perform at the event. Students will be led by their teachers to the QUAD where they will perform. After the performance, parents can pick them up. All other classes will be dismissed. and we will have no teacher in the 300 building anymore. No Parent Yoga class and no elective class. No late pickup, please.
Our Dance class students will perform at about 11:00am. For parents of dance class students, please gather them together at 10:30am near the backstage.
We will have a reward ceremony to give prizes to last year's DBCS Handwriting Contest 1st place winners of each class. Please go to our website to check if your child is on the list. The ceremony is scheduled for about 11:30am. All recipients must go backstage at 11:15am. Prize will be forfeited if no show.
We need volunteers for this event. For high school students, other than our TAs, we will provide community service hours certificates. We need parents to help with setup too. So if you have free time between 9:00 and 10:00, please go to the QUAD and find us.
All parents, students, families, and friends are welcomed to join our celebration. This year, we have many vendors preparing gifts and red envelopes for participants. We have a Robotics demonstration by the renowned DBHS Robotics Team. . We have traditional Chinese Sugar Painting, Cotton Candy, and Popcorn. We have a bounce house, face painting and many fun carnival games to play. This year, we invited experts to write "Spring Couplets" and “Blessing". Our food section this year will feature food from the Happy Harbor Restaurants. This year's celebration will be very fun.
For all students who will take the AP Chinese Practice Test next weekend, you should already received a message with a link. Please use the link to practice for the test.
