Welcome to the 2020-21 academic year! Who would believe that we will have an online Chinese school？We understand this is a very hard time for everyone, parents, teachers, and students, especially the students. As I told our teachers today, our task is to show every student that learning Chinese online can be fun and relaxing. I hope we rely less on parents to get students to sit in front of the screen every time. Hopefully, we can do a good job.
This year, all our classes are very small. The average number of students is only 6. It may not help the school keep our financial balance, but we believe small classes are crucial for teachers to pay attention to every student.
We will be using Zoom for all instructions. Students will submit their homeworks and teachers will give feedback through the Google Classroom. Both Zoom Meeting Info and Google Classroom Code will be sent out by Friday by the teacher.
Textbook pickup is scheduled for Friday, 6:30-8:00pm, at the front gate of the Diamond Bar High School. It will be a very hot day. We ask you to prepare the check at home to save time (Payable to DBCA, New students $450; Returning students $400). Please wear mask and keep social distance while picking up books.
