Dear Parents,
Thank you very much for participating in our Moon Festival Celebration Event last Sat! This Sat, 9/29, Chinese school will have regular classes from 9:00am-12:30pm.
Next month, our students will participate in a Chinese Character "competition". The goal is to motivate our students to study Chinese characters and love Chinese in general. The best of our students will form a team to compete on TV with students from other Chinese schools. All students will participate in this and all will be given a small "prize" for encouragement. However, for those serious about winning, please use the attached "Character Bank" to prepare. Teachers will show how this works in class this Sat.
As our mid-term is fast approaching, we want to remind our parents and students that they can get help with their Chinese homework or Chinese study in general during the elective class hour in our "Homework" class from 11:30-12:30pm. In some classes, for those students that routinely did poorly with their homework, teachers may suggest them to go to the homework class.
Several of our elective classes are still welcome new students: Beijing Opera, Paper Sculpture, Homework, and Robotics. Some elective classes have reached their limit and will no longer admit new students, such as Mental Math, Chinese Yo-Yo. We hope students can enjoy our elective class offerings.
