Dear Parents,
Diamond Bar Chinese School 2018 Honor’s Day Performance and Award Ceremony will be held this Saturday , 5/19, at DBHS Theater. All students are required to attend. We invite you, your families and friends to attend this ceremony and congratulate our students for their efforts and achievements. Many of our students will get their and some will get nice prize too. For more information, please see the scholarship post on our website. For all scholarship winners, you MUST attend the ceremony to get the prize money. After the ceremony, you can pick up check at the front door of the theater, accompanied by your parents with your certificate.
Please arrive at the theater before 8:45am so you have time to be seated. Ceremony starts at 9:00am. The whole performance and award ceremony is expected to last two and half hours. If you will not stay during the ceremony, please pick up your kids at 11:30am.
Seating: students sit together with their classmates in the wing areas of the theater. Parents will be seated separately in the central area of the theater. After helping your child get to his/her class, please be seated. At the entrance, Our TAs will guide you. You can also find signs for seating areas for parents.
Registration: DBCS will have tables set up near the entrance and we will be there to help answer your questions about registration and process your registration. If you have not done registration, please take this wonderful opportunity to take advantage the early registration discount of $50. To save time, you can download the form from www.dbcaa.org, fill it at home.
Photographing: Students will go on stage to receive their awards, certificates and prize. There is designated area for you to take picture in front of the stage. Please proceed in orderly fashion.
Suggestions: please let us know what you think DBCS should improve in the future. Our parents’ input about recess safety has made big difference. We want to hear more from our parents in order to make the Chinese school better. Your opinions are important to us when we do summer “strategic” planning for next year.
We are all very proud of our children’s efforts and achievements at Diamond Bar Chinese School. This year’s honor’s day event has many exciting performances by several of our Chinese classes, as well as some of our elective classes. Let us get together and have an unforgettable Honor’s Day Event.
