Dear Parents,
This Sat, 2/3, Chinese school will have regular classes from 9:00-12:30pm.
Last Sat, we have three meetings with TAs, teachers, and parents on the issue of recess order and student safety. Many great ideas were discussed and we are thankful for everyone's input. Together, we will make our school safer and more fun. Detailed memo on these meetings is posted on our website and also attached to this message. Please spend sometime to go through the information and let us know if you have further suggestions.
At the parents meeting, parents volunteered to organize a recess supervision group every week. The group's coordinator will be our parent volunteer Stephen Lew. Parent supervisors are expected to help our teachers and volunteer TAs to maintain the recess order and supervise student activity. Every Sat, we need three parent volunteers. If you are interested in volunteer for this role, please send us an email that include your name, child's name, phone number and email address, you can also come to our office to sign up for parent volunteer.
Mock Chinese SAT test will be on 3/3, the registration deadline is this weekend. We strongly recommend all students in level 6 and above to take this test. It will help students to get familiar with this test and also help our teachers to improve future teaching. Please come to office and register this Sat.
On Feb 17th, we will have the annual Diamond Bar Chinese New Year Celebration. At this event, many of beginner level class students will perform songs and poems together. We will also present many awards. Welcome all parents, families and friends to come and join the celebration.
