DBCS Reminder of 2/8 and Chinese New Year Celebration Info
Dear Parents,
This Sat, 2/8， is our Annual Diamond Bar Chinese New Year Celebration!
We will have Chinese classes at the 300 building from 9:00-10:00am. Please pick up your kids at 10:00am from their Chinese classes (the same classroom you send them to). A few classes will perform at the event. These students will be led by their teachers to the QUAD where they will perform. After the performance, parents can pick them up. All other classes will be dismissed and students need to be picked up. We will have no teacher in the 300 building anymore. No Parent Yoga class and no elective class. No late pickup, please.
We will have a reward ceremony to give prizes to this year's DBCS Handwriting Contest 1st place winners of each class. Please go to our website to check if your child is on the list. The ceremony is scheduled for about 11:00am. All recipients must go backstage at 10:45am. Prize will be forfeited if no show.
We need volunteers for this event. For high school students, we will provide community service hours certificates. We need parents to help with setup too. If you have free time between 9:00 and 10:00, please go to the QUAD and lend a hand.
All parents, students, families, and friends are welcomed to join our celebration. This year, we have many vendors preparing gifts and red envelopes for participants. We have traditional Chinese Sugar Painting and Cotton Candy. We have a bounce house, face painting and many fun carnival games to play. This year, we invited experts to write "Spring Couplets" and “Blessing". Our food section this year will feature food from the Happy Harbor Restaurants. This year's celebration will be fun.

本周六, 2月8日， 是我们一年一度的钻石吧新春园游会的日子。
中文课从9:00-10:00正常上课。 请在10：00到各中文班教室接自己的孩子。 有的班级会集体表演，老师会集体把他们带到DBHS QUAD演出场地，家长可以在演出后和孩子汇合。老师和办公室人员均在10:00会离开300教学楼，请务必准时来接。本周六没有家长Yoga 课，也没有才艺课。
在11:00左右，我们会举行中文学校2024-2025学年写字比赛各班第一名的颁奖仪式。名单在学校网上有。 请这些同学务必在10:45分到舞台后面铜像附近集合，上台领奖，奖金必须本人在场领取。
我们需要更多的义工来帮忙。如果您有时间， 可以在送完孩子之后，直接到DBHS的QUAD来帮忙。
今年我们的新春园游会有很多精彩演出，工商摊位准备了很多的礼物和红包。我们有中国传统特色的糖画、棉花糖花等。新春我们请了书法老师给大家写"福"字，春联等。食品摊位更是有凯悦大酒楼的食品赞助。欢迎大家来参与！
