DBCS Reminder of week 08/27/2022
Dear Parents,
This Sat, 8/27, the DB Chinese school will have regular classes from 9:00-12:30pm.
Next Sat, 9/3, will be the Labor Day long weekend, Chinese school will have NO class.
On 9/10, the Chinese school will have classes in the morning and we will also have the Moon Festival Celebration later on that day. Please see the attached flyer. This celebration event will have the outdoor activities part, from 5:00-7:00pm, and the indoor fundraising event at the DBHS Theater from 7:00-9:00pm. The outdoor activities are free and open to all. Tickets are required for the 7:00-9:00pm performance. We have tickets available for our students, families and friends. Please send us an email or go to the office indicating how many tickets you need before 9/10. We will distribute donated tickets. First come, first serve. The performances will be done by professional artists, renowned DBHS performance groups, such as orchestra and dance. We are raising money for our elective classes and for the Diamond Bar High School Music program. We hope more parents can join the fundraising efforts, by donating or sponsoring. With support from our community, we can maintain and improve the quality of our elective classes and also support the Diamond Bar High School.
Several important announcements regarding our elective classes:
1. Dance class for parents starts this Sat, 8/27, 10:30-11:30am, Aerobic Room, DBHS 800 building. This will be a good opportunity for parents to exercise and make friends. The Aerobic Room has a wall-to-wall mirror and wooden floor. Please come and join the fun. Parents and friends can join.
2. Arts and Crafts class will start this Sat, 8/27, classroom 304. We will select those beginners in the drawing class to join this class. They will do drawing and sometimes crafts too.
3. Voice and Choir class does not have enough students sign up so we will not have this class for now.
4. We plan to have a Chess and Board Games class as an elective class option. In this class, students can learn and play Chess, play Chinese Chess and other board games. If interested in signing up, please send us a message or come to the office to sign up. If enough students sign up, we will start this class on 9/10.
5. From this week, Chinese Homework class will be in room 301.
