Dear Parents,

Happy Chinese New Year!

This Sat, our annual Chinese New Year Celebration is back after two years of absence due to the pandemic. This year, we will host the event together with the Diamond Bar High School. The event will have performances, games, foods, and booths from local businesses. We hope to bring  you a happy festival. Please come together with families and friends.

Please read carefully about our time arrangement for this Saturday:

1. We will have Chinese classes from 9:00-10:00am. Please pick up your kids from their classrooms from 9:50. Students can not go to the celebration without being supervised by their parents. If not picked up by their parents, students will have to wait in our office (306) for their parents.

2. We will not have elective classes, no Yoga class for parents.

3. Two of our Chinese classes will perform, K-1 (Ms. Hannah), K-2 (Ms. Sarah). Parents can pick them up at the performing stage (DBHS Quad) after their performances. K1 is scheduled to perform at 10:15am, and K2 is scheduled to perform at 10:40am.

4. Our elective class, Dance class will perform about 10:55am. Parents can pick them up at the performing stage (DBHS Quad) after their performances.Please follow the instruction by the Dance class teacher.

5. We will have an award ceremony with certificates and prizes for (1) the first place winner of our 2022 Handwriting Contest of each class, with their names posted on our website; (2) the winners of DBCS students in the SCCCS Fall Academic Competition. Recipients will be notified by email. The ceremony is scheduled for about 11:30am.  Please gather together near the stage by 11:15am.

6. After you drop off your kids before 9:00am, parents are welcomed to go to the Quad. The famous DBHS Band will be performing. During the event, some of the most renowned program of DBHS will also showcase their work or introduce themselves to our parents, such as the DBHS Robotics team.
